A Calathea Burle Marxii in a compact 14 cm pot brings a striking splash of pattern to a shaded corner. The leaves wear a painterly mix of light and dark greens with hints of pink on the undersides, catching and softening the light as you move by.

Place it where it can enjoy bright indirect light and steady humidity. Water when the top inch of soil feels just slightly dry, and keep a gentle routine that mirrors a shaded tropical understory. Its calm growth habit makes it a welcoming, low-stress green companion for desks, shelves, or a cosy nook that benefits from a living accent with a touch of colour.
